First of all, we are sorry that you are experiencing such problems with software. If you get such messages again then please let us know (through the contact form and please include link to the post and screenshots of alerts) and we'll deal with it with utmost scrutiny. We don't like software that has viruses in it either.
Second of all, it's quite possible that your antivirus software has identified something it thinks is a virus but it's really not a virus. Antivirus software searches for patterns within files to identify malicious programs. Many cracks, patches etc have patterns within them that are similar to malicious programs because in order to work a patch has to modify some file(s) to remove whatever limitations a program imposes on itself upon installing. Antivirus programs detect these "modification" patterns within a patch and think it's a virus. Something like that is called false positive.
We came up with a way to independently determine if a crack/patch does indeed have a virus within it. Please follow these procedures:
1. Visit http://www.virustotal.com/
2. Upload your file (must be less than 10MB)
3. After a little while, depending on how busy the service is, you will be presented with report.
4. Click on "Compact" in top left-hand of the report.
5. Take a screenshot of the resulting pop-up window (please resize it to make sure all the results are visible), or send as the report link (and skip step 6).
6. Upload the screenshot to TinyPic and include the link in your message.
We will review the situation and take appropriate action. However, if you do not follow the above procedures then your message will be disregarded. It's a simple case of helping us to help you.
We never, under any circumstances, intentionally add viruses of any kind into files that we post here. However, we would like to remind you that by downloading and/or using any files from this site or from any links posted on this site you accept full responsibility for the consequences of your actions and as such we accept no legal, civil or other responsibilities for your actions.
